Ten Gangwon FC players have been selected as players scheduled to acquire FA qualifications in K League 1 2025.

According to the list of players who will acquire FA status in 2025, which was recently revealed by the Korea Professional Football Association (Kwon Oh-gap), Gangwon Province has a total of 10 players including Kwon Seok-joo (DF), Kim Dae-woo (MF), Kim Woo-suk (DF), Kim Hae-seung (FW), Ryu Kwang-hyun (DF), Park Tae-rang (DF), Yoon Seok-young (DF), Lee Ji-sol (DF), Choi Seong-min (FW), and Hong Seong-moo (MF). Among them, Kwon Seok-joo, Ryu Kwang-hyun, and Park Tae-rang have the option to extend their contract. As their contract period expires on December 31 this year, they can acquire FA status and can freely sign contract with other teams after they acquire FA status. However, if they sign a contract with their current team before the contract period expires, their FA status will be canceled. Players who are scheduled to acquire FA status can negotiate their joining not only with their current team but also with other teams from July 1 when their contract period expires. However, if another team begins negotiations with a player who is scheduled to acquire FA status, they shall notify the relevant player's current team of the initiation of negotiations in advance.
